The Coming Day of The Lord

Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation." For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:3-9 NASB)

Happy Seeking Him

How blessed are those whose way is blameless, Who walk in the law of the LORD. How blessed are those who observe His testimonies, Who seek Him with all their heart. (Psalms 119:1-2)

Examine Yourself

Many professing believers claim to understand and practice the love of Christ  towards others, but fail to examine themselves and their motives...while scrutinizing those  of others.

If we were properly evaluating ourselves, we would not be judged,1 Corinthians 11:31 (HCSB)

Look closely at yourselves. Test yourselves to see if you are living in the faith. Don’t you realize that Christ Jesus is in you? Of course, if you fail the test, he is not in you. (2 Corinthians 13:5 ERV)

Oftentimes , people like that are attempting to make themselves appear innocent , and will say things such as, "I don't see how they can call themselves a Christian, I just don't see it!" When people make condemning remarks like that, they're putting themselves on a pedestal, as an arrogant self-righteous display to others .

Everyone in this world has made and will make erroneous judgements and mistakes , but only GOD sees the hearts and motives of each one of us .

"… but don’t judge by things like that. God doesn’t look at what people see. People judge by what is on the outside, but the Lord looks at the heart….” (1 Samuel 16:7 ERV)

People acting self righteously will judge a person based on what they see and hear about others , using a of filter condemnation in order to smear the reputations of others to make their own appear flawless.

We don’t dare put ourselves in the same class with those who think they are so important. We don’t compare ourselves to them. They use themselves to measure themselves, and they judge themselves by what they themselves are. This shows that they know nothing. But we will not boast about anything outside the work that was given us to do. We will limit our boasting to the work God gave us, but this work includes our work with you. (2 Corinthians 10:12-13 ERV)

When encountering or dealing with such people in our lives, GOD encourages us to pray for them, and bless them even though they curse us. Remember , He sees all and knows all...and is the only One who can judge us.

“People will insult you and hurt you. They will lie and say all kinds of evil things about you because you follow me. But when they do that, know that great blessings belong to you. Be happy about it. Be very glad because you have a great reward waiting for you in heaven. People did these same bad things to the prophets who lived before you. (Matthew 5:11-12 ERV)

When Jesus saw the crowds of people there, he went up on a hill and sat down. His followers came and sat next to him.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies. Pray for those who treat you badly. If you do this, you will be children who are truly like your Father in heaven. He lets the sun rise for all people, whether they are good or bad. He sends rain to those who do right and to those who do wrong. If you love only those who love you, why should you get a reward for that? Even the tax collectors do that. And if you are nice only to your friends, you are no better than anyone else. Even the people who don’t know God are nice to their friends
. (Matthew 5:1, 43-47 ERV)

Mercy

Yes, you must show mercy to others. If you do not show mercy, then God will not show mercy to you when he judges you. But the one who shows mercy can stand without fear before the Judge. (James 2:13 ERV)

Giving

“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of people, to be seen by them. Otherwise, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. (Matthew 6:1 HCSB)

Friday Humor: "Where Babies Come From"

A second grader came home from school and said to her grandmother, "Grandma, guess what? We learned how to make babies today."

The grandmother, more than a little surprised, tried to keep her cool. "That's interesting." she said. "How do you make babies?"

"It's simple," replied the girl. "You just change 'y' to 'i' and add 'es'."

The Grace of God

Grace is GOD doing for us…what we could never do, & what we will never deserve. #Evonika❤ღ❤

The seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven saying: The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Messiah, and He will reign forever and ever! (Revelation 11:15)#Evonika❤ღ❤

Our Attitude About Others Reveals Our Attitude About God

If you hate & say you hate another person, you're not walking in the fear of The Lord because you hate what He loves. When we fear The Lord we love what He loves and hate what He hates.#Evonika

The Sweetness of Love

Signs of Christ's Return

Jesus came out from the temple and was going away when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him. And He said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down." As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" And Jesus panswered and said to them, "See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will mislead many. You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. "Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.

Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:1-9, 11-14 NASB)

MY HELP COMES FROM THE LORD

I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalms 121:1-2 NASB) #Evonika❤ღ❤

Right Decisions

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (James 1:5-8 NASB)

The department manager is a wise, friendly old man, and one day, during an interview in his office he was asked, "Sir, what is the secret of your success?"

He said, "Two words."

"And, sir, what are they?"

"Right decisions."

"But how do you make right decisions?"

"One word." He responded.

"And, sir, what is that?"

"Experience."

"And how do you get experience?"

"Two words."

"And, sir, what are they?"

"Wrong decisions."

The Time is Near, Are You Ready?

Besides this, knowing the time, it is already the hour for you to wake up from sleep, for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is nearly over, and the daylight is near, so let us discard the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us walk with decency, as in the daylight: not in carousing and drunkenness; not in sexual impurity and promiscuity; not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no plans to satisfy the fleshly desires. (Romans 13:11-14)

Friday Humor 😊

A Sunday school teacher asked, "Johnny, do you think Noah did a lot of
fishing when he was on the Ark?"

"No," replied Johnny. "How could he, with just two worms.

Many times friends, relatives, and others who have known us for a long time, take us for granted …and do not show any appreciation for the things we do for them. It is often people like that who only show appreciation to others who only  give them material things  or money instead of time, love, and prayer. Often they do things for people they feel can do something for them in return materialistically, because they have a selfish and ungrateful heart.
Lord, please forgive us for developing  any tension, resentment, sadness and anger towards those who have hurt & taken us for granted, please forgive us for any rage that we may have allowed to fester inside of ourselves. Thank You for helping us to continue to be merciful & forgiving to the spiteful, to the abusive & sarcastic  people in our lives...so that Your love, grace, and mercy will be honored & glorified!
In Jesus' Name,
Amen

Don't eat at the table of a stingy person or be greedy for the fine food he serves. “Come on and have some more,” he says, but he doesn't mean it. What he thinks is what he really is. You will vomit up what you have eaten, and all your flattery will be wasted. Don't try to talk sense to a fool; he can't appreciate it. (Proverbs 23:6-9 GNT)

For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. (1 Peter 2:21-24 NLT)

True Freedom

There is no condemnation now for those who live in union with Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit, which brings us life in union with Christ Jesus, has set me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1-2)

The Greatest Love of All

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to be its judge, but to be its savior. Those who believe in the Son are not judged; but those who do not believe have already been judged, because they have not believed in God's only Son. This is how the judgment works: the light has come into the world, but people love the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds are evil. Those who do evil things hate the light and will not come to the light, because they do not want their evil deeds to be shown up. But those who do what is true come to the light in order that the light may show that what they did was in obedience to God. (John 3:16-21)

Pray About Everything … Worry About Nothing

Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart. And God's peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus. In conclusion, my friends, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable. Put into practice what you learned and received from me, both from my words and from my actions. And the God who gives us peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:6-9)
